Our Story

Reading Stones started out of necessity - well, not really necessity, but as a let's-try-it-and-see-what-happens moment.

Helen Brown, already a published author, was finding the cost of publishing through vanity publishers extreme. Through connections with other authors, she heard about self-publishing - but, much of the feedback she received was that the process is hard, demanding, and complicated.

So, she enlisted the help of her daughter, Wendy, and thus began the journey into self-publishing and Reading Stones was born.

Reading Stones is a completely family-owned business. While we must, out of necessity, use an international 3rd party company, we endeavour to support Australian business as much as possible.
