In the final book in the Pioneers of Grace series by Olwyn Harris, we meet Rachel and Leah. The younger sister, Rachel, loves living in the country and working with her hands and finds all the socially acceptable niceties tedious. Plain, bespeckled Leah, on the other hand, wishes to escape the country. When a well-connected suiter appears, Leah finds herself overlooked, and Rachel faces the prospect of having to leave the family farm.
